I Be Better

You wanta know why?

Cause after carrying around my grumpy arse mood I sent an email to a friend who I like to think of as "my jimmy cricket on my shoulder, laughs with me at jokes when noone else finds them funny and then snorts as I laugh and cry at the same time, has a pysch degree so knows what she is talking about, loves Jesus with a passion that helps her to mentor me well" friend.

And with a few soft spoken words reminded me to put my faith in God and rebuke the devil trying to load me with doubts.

I sat alone for a minute and said a quick prayer and in about an hour, poof the mood was gone without me noticing it and my day went on as usual.

Then my momma called during her hectic inventory day and her happy voice lifted my spirits high. Then my girl Case and I chatted and I always feel like I siphon off some of her happy attitude whenever we talk, she is my always cheerful friend.

Then my kids made me cards and were angels.

And then my husband went to the store after dark and got me a Coke Zero just because.

I'm blessed. And like everyone else, even Susie Sunshine me hits a wall sometimes. I like to think it's because it gives me a chance to appreciate the support system I have around me.

Going to snuggle to my husband, which adds another layer of joy to my life. Six months ago, I couldn't do that every night.

14 days till mommy week.....not that I"m counting or anything.....

Keep Your Distance

Because life is life and I'm somewhat normal.... I'm having one of those days so keep your distance. I spit far, like a camel.

I woke up full of doubts: should we continue homeschooling, should we continue in an RV, should we upgrade an RV, should we...should we....should we...and it continues....

So I tried to shake my funk and kept biting my tongue and not gripe at the kids. I keep unusually silent.

And I did all the laundry, and cleaned the rv, and let the kids play, and kept silent.

Then we went to the nursing home to paint nails and then we hit the grocery store for paper towels, ice, and dishwashing liquid.

I yakked with my dad for an hour during some of this errand running which always cheers me up.

And I stopped at Sonic for my now weekly, once daily, coke. Before I would have a rt44 coke anytime I could...but i decided to cut calories and eat my calories rather than drink them. SO I switched to coke zero, but I give myself the weekly coke, a large now rather than a rt44. Big time proud of myself.

Got home and while still chatting with Dad, Princess is playing around at the sink and knocks my full, undrank weekly coke onto the floor. I quickly got off the phone and lost my shit.

And before I got ugly, I went outside to kick the tires on my rv. I felt slightly better. And now, she is cleaning the rv again and we'll have extra chores after school today.

harse? maybe, but seriously I'm tired of them kids playing around and I only ask for a few things....so yeah, I'm still pissed.

Keep your distance

Rants from a Non-Smoker

Yet another day in the life of a reforming smoker, not sure why but this topic is pretty much controlling my every thought, action and movement! It is all centering around not have a ciggie. Dang it. I thought I was better than this.

Anyway, just this morning as I drove to work, I began a list of things that are bothering me. Doesn't everyone do this?

Inspiration

Four plus days...that is four plus days that I've gone without smoking. I'm kinda proud of myself. But mainly, I'm a big ole bag of b*tching, moaning and whining. But I have the best inspiration. They are worth it.
Happier posts coming, as soon as I find that dang bottle of nicotine pills the doctor gave me!

Gravy makes everthing better....

What do you need when your pissy, the world hates you and bloating seems inescapable? Gravy.

I came home to beautiful thick gravy, biscuits, deer steaks and mashed potatoes. YUM. My world got a whole lot better. Who needs chocolate when you have gravy. It's a beautiful thing.

Until The Man cleans the kitchen and tosses the whole dish of gravy.

WTF?

It just goes downhill from there.

Dreaming of a Taser

People just can't stand it when you're happy. So I have decided that I need my very own taser. Stephanie Plum gets to use one, so I want one. Now. And The Man refuses to buy me one.

See the story goes like this (long and lengthy, you'll need chocolate), I'm training my replacement. She is another story guys, more on that another day. So my cake week at work to be spent reading the gossips site and checking on my favorite blogs. But no, she is a rock and I'm trying to feed a year of info into a rock. So I'm stressed out and my boss refuses to speak to her AT ALL. In fact, he refers to her in front of her, as the new girl with the nose ring. I didn't pick this girl, my company picked her. I'm doing the best I can. So at this point I'm gonna say something nice cause my momma says that I should always find something nice to say about someone, here goes. I like the top half of her hair, the red is a great shade. There, I'm done.

Except, while training her, I'm dealing with the move, The Man is dealing with everything while on the cell with me, and the kids spent their last day in care. We're in deep poop people. Our housing office calls to tell him that we can't extend our notice (as orginially assured) because they've given our house to someone else, we have to be out on the 22nd of THIS MONTH. My taser would have come in handy when I then left work and marched into said housing office manager's private office and slammed her door behind me. Sizzle sizzle, dance housing lady dance. But no, no taser, so after throwing a country fit upside her, I got my extension. Taser Reason #1.

Then the military says they would move us, however we are 1481 miles from our home of record and we want to move 725 miles. No problem huh? Wrong, it's cheaper according to move lady to go the 1481 due to straight shot on interstate.......WTF? Sizzle Sizzle? Nope, had to go in and argue till I'm blue in the face. Taser Reason #2.

So new company is going to move us.....only problem. Office is closed for Christmas. Do you see the pattern here.......we'll get back to you after Christmas. Sizzle Sizzle. Reason #3.

I'm not counting the fact that my head is pounding but, I escorted my darlings to eat at Denny's (thanks for the gift certificate H) on Kid's Eat Free Night (What? I'm frugal, it's a great quality!) Where I slip away to the rest room and upon reaching our table, Dutchess yells "Princess called me a LOSER!" Excuse me? This errupts into a huge fight with three grapes flying in the process over who brought up the LOSER issue first. The Man you ask? He was zoned out and looks up startled, "What'd I miss?"

I was NOT at any time wishing for a taser at this point.........swear........I mean it........

This Paper Sucks.....the big mighty one...

At what point do you take a seriously large carving knife to your book? Well I'll let you know later as I'm almost at that point now. I finally called the professor, something I never do, to be told this:
"Relax, your papers are graduate material anyway."
Great, no pressure to do a fabulously great final paper! Crap...

Spitting Mad.....

Senior Democrat renews call for military draft

As a military wife, I think I have some ground here to talk. But I will just say that I support my President, I support the troops, I will not say that I agree 100% with policy though. I believe that the US can not be the big brother to every country out there who can not to it themselves. I believe in removing evil and corruption, but at some point, someone has to stand up and say "WE WILL NOT DO THIS FOREVER FOR YOU!".

Stepping off my soapbox now. Thank you. Have a lovely Sunday.
