The Wind is Blowing
Does anyone else feel like the wind is blowing in the wrong direction?I'm really nervous about the state of our nation. The very basis for all our economics is dwindling. Times they are achanging. Except, I don't notice it anywhere but the news. I'm not seeing the difference in the amount of shoppers at the mall or B&N (where I may or may not have just bought books). People are still buying and that includes me.
I'm having a change of heart.
I'm thinking that a more minimalistic lifestyle might be in order.
Which hurts my heart cause it means no more high heels shoes.
But you know what, if the predictions are right, if we elect someone who has had 3 years of Senate history and put him in charge of the largest most powerful country in the world, which is already having serious economic problems.........are things gonna get worse. Or is there a miracle in the making?
I'm hedging my bets but I do think we're in for worse times. I'm a realist not a dreamer. I don't pull rainbows out of my ears.........
The survivalist that I married who can serious argue the need for land out in the middle of nowhere, stocked with game and a water source..........well he is kinda making sense.
How do you see the wind blowing?

Yes things are definitely achanging!! We are feeling it up here with our dollar weakening. It is amazing how close the global market really is!! We are definitely going to see worse times and that land out in the middle of nowhere with game and a watersource is not such a bad idea.... my parents have 160 acres and a watersource.... and it backs onto crown land with game..... you get my drift.... if things get bad I know where me and the boys are headed!!
You know, as sad as it all is. I've given up. Don't get me wrong, I'll vote next week. But do I think my vote will count and make a difference, probably not. Do I think things will be different, I guess that depends on who wins. Do I think they both lie to get into office, YEP. Do I think they are going to keep the promises they are making, NOPE!!!
My fiance watching all the news channels ALL THE TIME, which kills me. They are all so depressing and one station will be going for one candidate and the next station will be going for the other. It's always bad news and it all seems to be getting worse.
I can only hope that the decisions that we are about to make next week will be the right decisions for us, for our kids and for "their" future.
Sorry, I don't always like politics... :-)
